Refunds & Returns Policy

At Engine Tech Hub, your satisfaction and confidence matter to us. We stand behind the engines we sell and want every purchase to go smoothly. This Refunds & Returns Policy explains when returns are accepted, how refunds work, and the steps to follow if there’s a problem with your order. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.


Our Commitment

We carefully inspect and test every engine before it ships. If something isn’t right with your order, contact us right away, most issues can be resolved quickly and fairly. Our goal is always to make it right.


Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions generally apply:

  • You must contact us to request a return within [2] days of receiving your engine.
  • The engine must be in the same condition as delivered, uninstalled, unused, and not modified.
  • The engine must include all original parts, components, and packaging where applicable.
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required.

Engines that have been installed, started, modified, disassembled, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for return, except where covered under warranty.


Non-Returnable Items

The following are generally not eligible for return:

  • Engines that have been installed or used.
  • Custom, special-order, or specially sourced engines (unless they arrive defective or damaged).
  • Items damaged due to improper handling, storage, or installation by the customer.
  • Clearance or “as-is” items sold with disclosed conditions.

How to Request a Return

To start a return, please:

  1. Contact us by phone or email with your order number and the reason for the return.
  2. Provide photos if the issue involves damage or a defect.
  3. Wait for us to review your request and provide return authorization and instructions.

Please do not ship any engine back to us without first receiving return authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted or refunded.


Damaged or Defective Engines

If your engine arrives damaged or is found to be defective:

  • Inspect your shipment at delivery. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt and take photos immediately.
  • Do not install a visibly damaged engine.
  • Contact us right away so we can help resolve the issue and, where applicable, file a claim with the carrier.

Engines confirmed to be damaged in transit or defective will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion, in line with this policy and any applicable warranty.


Return Shipping Costs

  • If a return is due to our error or a defective/damaged engine, we will cover the return shipping cost.
  • If a return is due to a change of mind or an ordering mistake on your part, you are responsible for return shipping costs, and a restocking fee may apply (see Section 7).
  • Because engines are heavy freight items, return shipping must be arranged in coordination with us to ensure proper handling.

Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of [5]% may apply to returns that are not the result of our error or a defective product. This helps cover inspection, repackaging, and handling costs. Any applicable restocking fee will be communicated to you before the return is finalized.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned engine, we will notify you of the status of your refund:

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Refunds are typically processed within [10] business days after the returned engine is inspected and approved.
  • Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error or a defective product.

Exchanges

If you received the wrong engine or need a replacement for a defective item, contact us and we’ll arrange an exchange. Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the correct item is unavailable, we will offer a suitable alternative or a refund.


Warranty Claims

Warranty coverage is separate from returns and is provided based on the engine type and condition at the time of purchase. If you experience an issue covered under warranty, contact us with your order details and a description of the problem, and we’ll guide you through the warranty claim process.


Order Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order:

  • Orders that have not yet shipped can typically be cancelled for a full refund.
  • Once an engine has shipped, cancellation is handled under this Returns Policy, and return shipping and restocking terms may apply.
